(1) Pursuant to this regulation, if a person who has received a permit for the production, transmission or distribution of electricity wants to import electricity into Nepal …………, he must submit an application to the Electricity Development Department for the prior approval of the Government of Nepal by attaching the details of the agreement in this regard.
(2) In the application given according to sub-rule (1), the name of the country importing the electricity, the voltage level, quantity, distribution or transmission area of ​​the electricity to be imported, the period of electricity import and other necessary things must be disclosed.
(3) Based on the application received as per sub-rule (1), the Government of Nepal may give permission to the applicant to import electricity after conducting the necessary examination and according to the request of the applicant or with amendments if necessary.
